Juan Montoya is very experienced as a company owner and as a concrete expert. He evaluates the work to be done, comes up with a well thought out solution, oversees the work to be sure it’s done right, does some of the work along with his crew if needed, and delivers on his promises. He’s also a good communicator so I felt confident that we were in agreement regarding the scope of the walkway work and price.I chose to leave a portion of the existing walkway as is, but we both agreed it would be better to complete it once the work was finished. He is going to try to fit it in when he has a nearby project and I have no doubt he will do that.I would highly recommend Juan Montoya and his crew for concrete work.

I had the misfortune of having a sewer line collapse under the concrete front steps of my home, making it necessary to demolish them for repair. The plumbing contractor would fill in the excavation, but I needed to find a concrete contractor on short notice. I called Montoya construction and explained my situation. Mr. Montoya was very responsive, examining the site and giving me a proposal. Despite a few unanticipated problems, work was completed quickly and with care. The workmen were professional, skilled and careful of my property. I am completely satisfied and would not hesitate to recommend Montoya Construction to anyone requiring a concrete contractor.

J Montoya Construction replaced our driveway that was more than 30 years old. From the initial call, Mr. Montoya was a pleasure to deal with. He was at our house the next day and gave us a cost estimate.Once we gave him the approval to go ahead with the project, Mr. Montoya and his crew worked professionally and diligently to get our driveway done in time. We were out of town part of the time when they started the job, but our son was around and we gave him full authority to act in our behalf. Mr. Montoya kept us updated through text on the progress and schedule of the project. It rained a lot after they tore the driveway, so they were not able to pour the concrete right away. We were back in town when they had an opportunity to do it. They were at our house at 7:00 in the morning. One of the things they would have had to do was temporarily remove our neighbor’s fence to make it easier for them to pour and level the concrete. However, that would have affected a grapevine that was on the fence. They decided not to take the fence down even if it meant a more difficult way for them to do their job. In the process, they did save the grapevine so we can still make grape jelly for years to come!Mr. Montoya and his crew did an excellent job from start to finish. They always came on time as scheduled. He listened to our concerns and made adjustments as needed. We have worked with several contractors the past few years; J Montoya Construction is the best we have worked with.

J Montoya removed deteriorating outdoor basement stairs and wall, replacing all, maintaining integrity of outdoor drain. This was work that needed to be done for many years, but for a variety of reasons never got done. From my first communication to set up the estimate through completion, Juan was prompt, professional and on target. Communication throughout was perfect. Juan’s team were efficient and tidy. Juan Montoya is a very nice professional business man. I'm an 82 year old widow that needed concrete work done. Mr. Montoya looked at the two areas that needed repairs, made suggestions as to how to correct the problems, explained the processes that he recommended and how to proceed. All of his suggestions made much more sense than the other contractors that I had talked to. The end result is a beautiful walk up to my front entrance and a rear driveway that is perfect. In addition his crew was considerate of my dogs and made sure the gates were always closed. They also realigned the rear driveway gates, installed a new drop rod, removed some pavers, leveled the ground and replaced them and adjusted the latch on the gate to the yard that was difficult to open. I highly recommend J Montoya Construction Corp. for quality work and did I mention his price was lower than the other bids. Thank you Juan.
